Salon La Vie (“we,” “us”) operates salons in Raleigh and Greenville, North Carolina, and this website, salonlavie.us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, birthday (optional), appointment and service history, notes about your hair services, and messages you send us.
- Booking and payment information: we use Vagaro to schedule appointments and process payments. Card details are entered on and stored by Vagaro and its payment processors; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
- Website information: like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar tools (including Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, device type and general location.
- Social media: if you message us on Instagram or Facebook, we receive the information you share there, subject to those platforms’ own policies.
How we use your information
- To book, confirm, remind you of, and manage your appointments.
- To provide services, keep records of your color formulas and preferences, and process payments, deposits and gift cards.
- To answer your questions and messages.
- To send you updates, offers, birthday messages and requests for reviews, if you have not opted out.
- To improve our website, services and marketing.
- To comply with the law and protect our business, clients and team.
Text messages (SMS)
If you provide your mobile number, you agree that Salon La Vie may send you text messages about your appointments (confirmations, reminders and changes). We will only send marketing text messages if you have separately agreed to receive them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
We may email you about appointments and, unless you opt out, about offers and salon news. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as Vagaro (booking, payments and messaging), our email and website providers, and analytics providers, and only as needed for them to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
How long we keep it
We keep client records for as long as you are a client and for a reasonable time afterward for business, tax and legal purposes, then delete or anonymize them.
Your choices
- Opt out of marketing emails with the unsubscribe link, or of texts by replying STOP.
- Ask us to review, correct or delete your information by contacting us below.
- Control cookies through your browser settings.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. Appointments for minors are booked by a parent or guardian.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
